KCGI's Luo Takes 3rd Place in Japan at Cisco's Network Competition

Mr. Xinyao Luo, a student at the Kyoto School of Graduate Studies for Informatics, won the third place in Japan and received the Bronze Trophy at NetAcad Riders 2022, a computer networking competition for students in the Asia-Pacific region (APJC) organized by Cisco Networking Academy.The high level of KCGI was demonstrated to the whole of Asia by the top prizes among more than 1,700 participants.

The competition was held to improve learning skills, connect trainees across the region, and promote education and technology training.At the same time, participants had the opportunity to interact with each other.

Luo studied network management at KCGI as her area of specialization and received guidance from Assistant Professor Badr Mochizuki, who is in charge of the course "Advanced Routing and Switching" in preparation for her participation in the competition.KCGI students have actively participated in world- and Asian-level competitions and have won top prizes.

The Cisco Networking Academy is an organization established by Cisco Systems (Cisco), the world's largest developer of computer networking equipment headquartered in the United States, to train future IT engineers.The Academy's programs are currently being developed in more than 180 countries in cooperation with educational institutions, government agencies, and related organizations.
