The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics has established a content business course and welcomes Scott Ross, the founder and former CEO of Digital Domain, a digital media pioneer representing Hollywood movies. I would like to talk about the issues related to special effects and VFX (visual effects).This special lecture will be open to the public.

Profile of Scott Ross:.
One of the pioneers of digital media.Together with James Cameron, he founded Digital Domain, Inc. and grew it into one of the largest production companies.In the 1970s, he toured with many bands, including the Miles Davis Group, and in the 1980s he became general manager of ILM, founded by George Lucas.In 1989, he supported organizational reform at NTT under the theme of "creativity.Since then, he has assisted in the establishment of digital media-related faculties at 14 universities in Japan.He has a wide network of contacts in many fields, including government officials, game company CEOs, major film distributors, director Akira Kurosawa, and game creator Shigeru Miyamoto.He is a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which presides over the Academy Awards, and the American Society of Television Arts and Sciences, which presents the Emmy Awards, and has lectured on creative methods and technology in over 20 countries.
