To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) and the 10th anniversary of the The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI), a commemorative lecture "Supercomputer" "Kyo" 10 Petaflop Challenge "will be held.
The lecturer will be Yuji Oinaga, General Manager, Next Generation Technical Computing Development Division, Fujitsu Limited.The lecture will begin with an overview of the history of supercomputers and talk about the development of the supercomputer "K computer*," which achieved the world's first 10 petaflops in November 2011.The road to development has not been a smooth one, and we have overcome many challenges.We will share with you how wonderful it is to challenge high goals and realize your dreams.
Admission is free for students and 1,000 yen for the general public.
