The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) Cyber Kyoto Research Institute debuted in Cyberspace, the geographical name top-level domain “Kyoto” with the sole support from Kyoto Prefecture and serving as a management operator (registry).On June 1, 2015, Urasenke, a Kyoto-based tea ceremony company, began using "lasenke.kyoto" as its first user.
In operating ".kyoto", Cyber Kyoto Institute has been preparing for the founders' program, which is a priority registration program, by inviting companies and various organizations in Kyoto Prefecture.Founders can pre-order and acquire up to 20 domain names.We have received applications and inquiries from many companies and organizations, and we are pleased to announce that "lasenke.kyoto" by Urasenke has become the first registration.
The Founders Program runs through November 30 of this year.
