On Monday, October 8, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Malawi, an East African country with which KCG has a close relationship through its overseas computer education support activities, visited KCG to discuss the promotion of computer education and future exchange.
Among those visiting KCG on this occasion were Eunice Kazembe, Minister of Education and Science, Lonely Magreta, Undersecretary of Education and Science, and Grace B. Kalonga, Counselor at the Embassy of Japan.In 1998, KCG donated 222 personal computers to Malawi as part of its overseas computer education support activities.In 2009, we also donated 15 units through the Embassy of Japan.
The delegation was welcomed at KCG by KCG's faculty and staff, including President Wataru Hasegawa, and briefed on the history of KCG at the main hall of the Kyoto Ekimae Satellite, Kyoto Institute of Information Science.The meeting was followed by a lively exchange of views on the future of computer education and the development of future exchanges.
