Associate Professor Koji Emi of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) gave a talk on the development of content using wearable cameras, etc. at the "e-Learning Award 2016 Forum" held in Tokyo. This forum is a national forum for the introduction and presentation of educational cases utilizing ICT, such as e-learning and MOOCs.On October 28, the last day of the forum, Associate Professor Emi gave a lecture titled "Development of Content for Flipped Learning Using Wearable Cameras and Other Devices. The talk was based on the know-how of developing contents for flipped learning by formalizing tacit knowledge at the manual work level by filming farm work from various angles using a wearable camera in the form of glasses, and by incorporating the "micro-content creation" method of creating contents as small parts. The audience was very interested, and there were questions from the audience about tips on how to use the wearable camera and how to create microcontent.
This content was produced jointly by the Vegetable Planet Association and KCGI in KCGI's applied information course "Next Generation Agricultural Informatics," and is part of the research for the 12th Japan e-Learning Grand Prize in the Wearable Category, which was awarded at the same forum last year.In addition, a related open lecture, "Next Generation Agricultural Informatics - Agriculture x ICT = Innovation," will be held on December 7, introducing examples of cloud services that provide farmers with necessary information and ICT-controlled plant factories to provide a view of agriculture in the future. Those interested in ICT-based agricultural management are encouraged to attend.
