NAKAMURA Masanori, Professor of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI), Director of Sapporo Satellite (President of Digic Corporation, Hokkaido System Industry, Inc.) Association chairperson) won the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award for Information Promotion Promotion Individuals 2014.The award will be presented at an awards ceremony to be held on October 6 at the Marunouchi Building Hall in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.Congratulations, Professor Nakamura!This is a great honor for the KCG Group.
As an event related to the national Information Technology Month (October), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and other ministries present awards to individuals and companies every year.
Professor Nakamura participated in the establishment of the Hokkaido Software Association and the Hokkaido Software Business Cooperative Association, playing a leading role in the development of the local information industry. He was also involved in the creation of the Sapporo Techno Park, the foundation of the Sapporo Valley, contributing to the firm establishment of Sapporo as a center for the information processing industry.In order to build an environment where employees can work in good health and with peace of mind, he established the "Hokkaido Computer Related Industry Health Insurance Association" and has served as its chairman to this day.
In addition, he served for seven years as chairman of the National Association of Local Information Industry Associations (ANIA), leading the promotion of informatization of local and small and medium-sized enterprises as the head of information industry-related organizations in all prefectures in Japan.He has served on numerous committees for METI and other ministries and affiliated organizations, and has worked to promote informatization in Japan as well as in local communities and small and medium-sized enterprises.He currently serves as chairman of the Hokkaido Information System Industry Association.
In April 2012, he was appointed as Professor and Satellite Director at the same time as the opening of KCGI Sapporo Satellite within Desic.He has been teaching lectures such as "Practical IT Company Theory" on IT company management for regional and small and medium-sized enterprises, making use of his many years of experience to train future generations of IT professionals.KCG Group students will have many opportunities to learn from Professor Nakamura in the future.
