The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics will hold a Japanese company briefing session for Korean students with Jeju Special Self-Governing Agency on August 21, 2007 at Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. There are currently five universities in Jeju-do, and one of them, Jeju National University, is our sister university.Jeju Island has long been famous as an island for tourism, but there are few local companies, and college graduates are finding it difficult to find work.On the other hand, Japanese IT companies are facing a shortage of human resources, and in light of this situation, TUAT organized a Japanese company information session as part of its exchange program with Jeju National University and the Jeju Provincial Government.Japanese firms participating in the briefing include member firms of the National Association of Regional Information Industry Associations (ANIA).
In 2006, Jeju Province was designated as a special autonomous province with a high degree of autonomy. The country is expected to develop industrially in the future, and is eager to attract Japanese companies.TUAT hopes that both Japan and Korea will achieve significant results through this Japanese company information session.
