This census is an important statistical survey to learn about the "present" of Japan, a society with a declining population, and to build a better future.
The census is conducted in the place where you usually live, so many students who live alone away from their parents in student dormitories or boarding houses may be experiencing the census for the first time.
Now that summer vacation is over and you'll be busy with academics, etc., please don't forget to answer these questions correctly!

~ Survey Process ~.
Since late September, surveyors have been visiting your homes one by one to distribute the survey forms.
The surveyor will visit you after October 1 to collect the completed survey forms.
If you live in a non-residential student dormitory, you may mail the questionnaire directly to the municipality (if there is no dormitory, delete "If you live in a non-residential student dormitory,").
