Kyoto College of Computer Science (KCGI) and The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCG) signed an inter-university exchange agreement with Vietnam National University of Humanities and Social Sciences, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on June 12, 2020.After KCGI Vice President Nguyen Ngoc Vinh and KCG Hanoi Office Director Nguyen Ngoc Vinh visited VNU-USSH on February 10, a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions, signed by KCG Group President Wataru Hasegawa and KCGI President Toshihide Ibaraki on May 20, was first sent from the university to VNU-USSH via express mail (EMS), in response to the global spread of the new coronavirus.On June 12, the university's president, Pham Quang Myint, signed it.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish a cooperative relationship between KCGI/KCG and VNU-USSH and to carry out activities together related to educational programs, research, faculty and student exchange.
The KCG Group has been actively promoting exchanges with Vietnamese universities since Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, who served as President of the Hanoi National University of Technology (VNU-UET), became Vice President of KCGI.KCGI has signed inter-university exchange and academic joint planning agreements with VNU-UET in December 2019 and with National Hue University (HU) and National University of Danang (UD) in April 2020.
