Professor Shozo Naito, who has been training cyber special agents for the Kyoto Prefectural Police, was presented with a letter of appreciation from the prefectural police in recognition of his contributions.In 2014, the prefectural police established the "Kyoto Cybercrime Study Group" consisting of 31 members from 22 organizations, including universities, research institutes, and information and telecommunications companies, with the aim of improving cyber investigation capabilities and establishing a cyber special agent system.The study group held its last general meeting on February 28, 2017, in the main conference room of the Prefectural Police Annex Building to conclude its three-year activities. To express his appreciation for the dedicated activities of the committee members over a long period of time, Mr. Takayuki Sakai, Chief of the Prefectural Police Headquarters, presented each member with a certificate of appreciation.
In May 2016, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) and Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) signed an agreement with Kyoto Prefectural Police regarding the development of talented human resources who can deal with cyberspace threats. With the professor at the center, the entire KCG Group will promote cooperation with the prefectural police regarding the development of cyber special investigators and the investigation of cybercrime.
