U-Choir, a chorus circle of Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG Group), has recorded an English version of "Kimi wa Hana wa Boku wa Kaze" written and composed by Shuhei Umehara, and uploaded it to an Internet video site for worldwide distribution. This song is a new song by Umehara, a singer-songwriter known for "Origami Crane," and was written for U-Choir's premiere and distribution project.
In February of this year, U-Choir released a video recording of "Kimi wa Hana wa Boku wa Kaze" in both Japanese and Chinese for worldwide distribution via the Internet.Following the Japanese and Chinese versions, the English version was newly translated into English and recorded under the direction and guidance of advisor Yohei Yoshimura, with approximately 100 participants including parents, students including international students, faculty members, other university chorus clubs, and general chorus groups, in addition to the U-Choir.
The lyrics of "You are the Flower, I am the Wind" are subtitled "If you let your talent blossom, I will be the wind that carries the seeds of the flower." The lyrics include such messages as "History has never given up," "You, be the bridge that connects the world," and "Love, reach beyond words to the world" in the hope of a world without conflict.
