The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) degree award ceremony, Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG), Kyoto Japanese Language Training Center (KJLTC), and Kyoto Automobile College (KCGM) graduation ceremony in March 2015, Kyoto Information was held at the Graduate University of Kyoto in the Satellite Hall in front of Kyoto Station.Amidst the growing shortage of IT personnel, the students who studied together at the KCG Group have left with memories of their time as students, and with their skills and knowledge, they have strongly embarked on their careers.

Many parents came to the ceremony and filled the hall.At the beginning of the ceremony, KCGI President Toshihide Ibaraki presented the diplomas of "Master of Information Technology (Professional)" to the graduating students.KCG graduates received diplomas from the principals of Rakuhoku, Kamogawa, and Kyoto Ekimae schools, KJLTC graduates received diplomas from the principal of Kamogawa school, and KCGM graduates received diplomas from the same principal.After the ceremony, the KCGI, KCG, and KCGM Grand Prize and Excellence Award winners were presented with certificates of merit and commemorative gifts.

In his address, KCG Group President Wataru Hasegawa told the graduates that the My Number system and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games are the two IT-related topics facing the graduates and their families.At the same time, however, the industry is facing a shortage of human resources.Now is the time for all of you to step up," he encouraged.He reiterated the KCG Group's efforts in content business, new educational developments in the field of applied information, and the start of ".kyoto" management and operation, saying, "How wonderful it would be if our university, which is aiming for its next 100th anniversary, and you, who will be active in society, could grow and develop together.I sincerely wish you good luck in your endeavors," he said in farewell.

President Ibaraki touched on the steady and rapid progress of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and artificial intelligence, saying, "It is you who will be active in the world of ICT in the future who will decide how to utilize the great capabilities of machines and what kind of society we will create.Always keep your antennae up and actively challenge new possibilities.We look forward to seeing your success in the future," he encouraged.

Next, Ms. Mari Tamenaga, a student of KCG's Department of Information Science, gave her graduation address on behalf of the graduates and alumni.We have learned a great deal of wisdom from our professors and seniors during our time at the University.I also gained many irreplaceable friends, and the time we spent learning and spending time together was very meaningful.Especially in the project exercises, I was able to improve my skills through group work," he reflected. "My everyday school life and my experiences as a member of the chorus group, participating in the November Festival and the MUΣA project, are important treasures that will support me in the future.We will face many challenges, but each of us will fulfill our mission and walk a new path," he pledged.At the end of the event, all attendees sang "Light of Fireflies" together.

After the ceremony, the celebration was moved to Kyoto Tokyu Hotel.Graduates and alumni reminisced with faculty and staff with whom they had shared their joys and hardships, and pledged to make great strides in the future.
