Katsumasa Watanabe, former professor at KCGI, was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Rosette

Dr. Katsumasa Watanabe, who retired in September 2021, was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon in the autumn of the same year for his efforts in human resource development in the field of information and management as a professor of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics.The entire KCG Group extends its heartfelt congratulations and thanks you again for your past achievements.

D. in Mathematical Engineering from Kyoto University, he served as an associate professor at Kyoto University, a professor at University of Fukui, and a professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology before becoming a professor at KCGI, where he taught Introduction to Web Technology, Web Service Construction Techniques, Honors Master Thesis, and other courses.He is also a Fellow of Information Processing Society of Japan and Professor Emeritus of Nara Institute of Science and Technology.

According to the Cabinet Office, the Order of the Sacred Treasure is "awarded to persons who have accumulated meritorious service and achieved distinction through long years of engagement in the public service or public affairs of the national and local governments.Dr. Watanabe received the award for distinguished service in education and research.
