KCG Group will hold the seventh of its 50th anniversary commemorative lectures, "Creation of the Robot Age" by robot creator Tomotaka Takahashi (President of Robo Garage, Inc., Project Associate Professor, Institute for Advanced Study, University of Tokyo) on Saturday, June 22 at 2:00 pm at Kyoto Computer Gakuin Kyoto Ekimae Campus.
Admission is ¥1,000 for adults and free for students.
Mr. Takahashi is now attracting worldwide attention as a "robot genius" whose self-made robot "CHROINO" was selected as one of the "Coolest Inventions" by Time magazine. In the midst of what is said to be the greatest turning point since the birth of the computer, Mr. Takahashi said for his lecture, "People are losing interest in products and works that are completed within the computer. One of the answers to this question is a small humanoid robot terminal that can talk to humans, and we believe that an era in which people carry this terminal around like a smartphone today will be realized in 15 years," he wrote in his message.
He will talk about future creativity with an eye toward the future, while demonstrating a robot.
We hope to see many of you there!
