Prof. Yasunori Takeda of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) is one of the founders and animation planning and production company Gainax (Headquarters: Mitaka City, Tokyo), who will serve as director of the Director's Production Headquarters, will help to recover from the Great East Japan Earthquake. Announced that "Fukushima Gainax" will be established in Miharu Town, Fukushima Prefecture.The plan is to use a closed junior high school in the town to open a production studio and a full-scale animation museum that aims to attract more than 30,000 visitors a year.It is hoped that Gainax's animation will be transmitted from Fukushima to the rest of the world and help to improve the image of Fukushima.
