The University's marine IT education efforts were featured in the magazine "Boat Fishing

Kyoto College of Computer and The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) Next Generation Industry Course and Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) Department of Applied Informatics Marine IT Course's marine IT education efforts were introduced in the February issue of Million Echo Publishing's "Boat Fishing".The article includes four pages with many photos of the "Aoun Maru," a training ship moored in a fishing port in Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, equipped with the latest equipment that was selected after much study and selection with Furuno Denki Co.

For the development of marine and fisheries industries, in addition to the development of IT-based fish finders, the introduction of a data collection system for marine resources and the environment with traceability functions using satellites is being explored to realize efficient and sustainable fisheries. In addition, the use of information technology for ships is also being pressed for energy saving, safe operation, reduction of greenhouse gases, prevention of marine pollution, and use of natural energy from the sea.In this context, TUAT is focusing on education and research activities in the field of marine IT in an effort to nurture human resources who will lead these marine IT efforts.
