The Kyoto Information Industry Association (KIIA, Chairman: Wataru Hasegawa, President ofThe Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics and Kyoto Computer Gakuin, Secretariat: Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG), Kyoto Ekimae Campus) held its annual prefectural seminar "Let's Utilize Cloud Services" on Thursday, May 31, at the main hall of Kyoto Ekimae Satellite, Kyoto Institute of Information Science.(Co-sponsored by Kyoto Prefectural Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Center and supported by Kyoto Industrial 21 Foundation, Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and IT Consortium Kyoto).Students and members of the public attended the event and listened to the cutting-edge cloud computing.
The lecturer was Mr. Hiromi Matsuzumi, ICT Project Manager, Kansai Branch, U-Cloud Division, Nihon Unisys, Ltd.Cloud services are those that allow users to access various functions and information using only a terminal device (PC) via the Internet, without having to own their own computer.The seminar introduced how cloud services can be utilized in our society, in our daily lives, and in corporate management, using case studies.After the lecture, there were questions about security and other issues, indicating a growing interest.
