In April 2004, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics was established as Japan's first graduate school specializing in IT, based on Kyoto Computer Gakuin, Japan's first computer education institution. Since our founding, we have been striving to develop business leaders in the IT field under the philosophy of "Cultivation of Applied Information Technology Specialists with Advanced Practical Skills and Creativity to Respond to the Needs of Society, Lead the Age, and Lead the Next Generation".
At present, in addition to Kyoto Main School, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics has opened satellite campuses in Sapporo and Tokyo. With three campuses. Together with the three Kyoto Computer Gakuin campuses, Rakuhoku School, Kamogawa School, and Kyoto Ekimae School, we developed into the KCG group, one of the best information education institutions in Japan with more than 40,000 graduates.
In 2014, Kyoto Computer Gakuin Automobile School joined the KCG Group. In the future, in addition to conventional automobile maintenance, we promote the development of human resources with knowledge of IT such as automobile control, which is a specialized field of KCG.
In the current advanced information society, IT-related fields are rapidly and widely developing, and with the aim of further improving the educational and research environment, we are implementing education and research enhancement projects such as investing in new, state-of art equipment every year. In the future, we plan to expand the educational and research environment to meet the increasingly sophisticated and complex demands of society, and to improve various facilities.
In carrying out this improvement plan, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics has been engaged in a fund-raising campaign for the "Kyoto Graduate School of Information Technology Education Promotion Project" and is soliciting donations from a wide range of people. We would therefore like to ask for your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
The names of those who have made donations will be kept on record and will be reported in the bulletin 'Accum' of the Alumni Association.
